Acknowledgment from a Peacemaker: Conflict Analysis and Resolution is the path to the art of peacemaking. Peacemaking is achieved in the transformation of human hearts.

My story is a simple one, as it is one of acknowledgement. It encompasses humility, compassion, love, being of service and of most importance forgiveness. With courage and boldness I acknowledge my Creator and the people who became my foundation pillars of fortitude. They became my foundation and support system, as I slowly metamorphosed into a peacemaker. As I acknowledge all those who impacted and crossed my path thus far in this journey of life, it is to my Creator and all those beautiful human beings who I dedicate the achievement and culmination of my Ph.D.

I received a Doctoral Degree in Philosophy from the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Fort Lauderdale, Florida on June 21, 2014. My acknowledgement story is a journey, a gift, a miracle, a wonder and most of all the planting of a seed of HOPE.

Today’s fast pace is somewhat difficult for me to accept and get adjusted to. Perhaps I adjust a bit slower because the technological and science leaps towards advancement are at times intimidating. I correlate this  somehow to be robbing human beings of their essence thus,  making them  impersonal. This could very well be the attribution as to why I have never fully become immersed or integrated into an individualistic society. Perhaps I lean more and prefer to be part of a collectivistic society. This might also explain why I prefer qualitative research methods versus quantitative ones.

I am a hybrid of many learned behaviors and cultures. A colorful and flavorful combination resulting in the assembly and uniqueness of a human being. This was the purposed intention of our existence, as we are all uniquely chiseled to some degree just to be the way we were designed for any given moment.

I opted long ago to live a life that had meaning and purpose by being vulnerable rather than pretending to be someone who I am not.  I dislike and do not accept injustices and continue being a stand for the marginalized  and voiceless. True freedom resides in your heart, soul and mind. I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and dreamer within my  circle of loved ones.  I am also known to be a realist,  humanitarian, philosopher, life coach, giver, visionary and peacemaker to those whom with honor, respect and the will of servitude I humbly served. I am simply a human being...

Biographical Sketch

Received a Doctoral Degree in Philosophy from the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Hold an MBA from St. John's University, Jamaica, New York and a BS in Economics, with a minor in Marketing from the College of Staten Island of The City University of New York.

While attending residence courses at NSU, I was associated with Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial in Quito, Ecuador teaching virtual classes in Spanish in the area of Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Also, was an integral part from the inception and continue supporting the Global Study Abroad program offered within DCAR at NSU.

I am a seasoned professional having broad experience and unique knowledge, using skills to contribute to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Thus, providing leadership in identifying and developing innovative assessment strategies and frameworks to synergistically strengthen existing business. A subject matter expert in Conflict Analysis and Resolution availing the ability to suggest solutions based on groundbreaking research and studies.

Further possess twenty plus years of experience as a successful business entrepreneur, specifically in the International Trade market of home furnishing products from Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I have also lived in Italy, England, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and presently live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

I am also fluent in Spanish and Italian.

• Completed and received certificate by The Pairs Foundation, Inc., a leader in relationships skills training for ‘Pairs Essentials’, Hollywood,  Florida (2014)
• Launched the first bi-lingual virtual classroom teaching ‘Management of Organizational Conflicts’ (Manejo de Conflictos Organizacionales), a Professional Development Seminar with Universidad Tecnologica Equinoccial in Quito, Ecuador from their USA offices in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (2012).
• Facilitator for ‘Interpersonal Communications and Conflict Management Skills workshop’, at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida (2012). Under the supervision of Dr. Neil Katz and Associates. This workshop is designed to be a teaching guide for trainers for a generic workshop in interpersonal and small group communication and conflict management skills.
• Facilitator for ‘Conflict Management: Overt & Covert Dynamics in Group Development and Group Conflict’, at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida (2012). Under the supervision of Dr. Neil Katz & Associates who specializes in the Tavistock approach. This experiential laboratory of a model for training developed at the Centre for Applied Social Research, Tavistock Institute of Human Relations pioneered by Dr. Kenneth Rice in Great Britain.
• Certified in Conflict Dynamic Profile-I assessments by Eckerd College Center for Conflict Dynamics, St. Petersburg, Florida (2011).
• Leading Coach for the seminar/workshop of ‘The Surrendered Wife’ by author Susan Doyle. Under the supervision of Heart’s Desire, Miami, Florida (2010). ILP leader graduates from Landmark Education created this women group.
